Summary
Personal Echo is designed to run locally in Chrome. It does not use remote APIs, cloud AI models, accounts, ads, analytics, or telemetry.
Data processed by the extension
Personal Echo may process the following data only when you choose to use the relevant feature:
- Writing samples you paste or upload.
- Text you highlight in Google Docs.
- Optional extra style examples you save.
- Rewritten text and before/after review text.
- Local settings such as your selected writing style.
Where data is stored
This data is stored locally using Chrome storage on your device. Personal Echo does not transmit your writing, profiles, highlights, settings, or rewrites to any server.
Data collection and sharing
Personal Echo does not collect, sell, rent, share, or transfer user data. It does not use data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking.
Google APIs and Limited Use
Personal Echo does not use Google APIs to access Google Docs. It works through user-triggered browser actions on the open Google Docs page. If Google APIs are added in the future, use of information received from those APIs will follow the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
Deleting data
You can delete saved Personal Echo data from the extension's Privacy tab by choosing "Delete all data." You can also remove the extension from Chrome to delete extension-managed local data.
